Do you want to advertise with The Navigator? There are new options available!

The Navigator (or, as our readers call it, The Nav) is Vancouver Island University’s independent, student-run magazine with over 20,000 readers. We have strong connections throughout Nanaimo, and our many off-campus neighbourhoods, including Cowichan, Parksville, Qualicum, and Powell River. The Nav reaches the diverse, niche audience of VIU students—both new and returning—of all backgrounds, from students who grew up on Vancouver Island and are familiar with the city, to those from elsewhere in the world who have had the opportunity to see everything the university and the Island has to offer.

The Nav is a free and easily-accessible online magazine that not only reaches VIU students and staff, but also VIU alumni and family of everyone connected to VIU. The Nav publishes monthly feature length articles and time-sensitive content from September through March.

This year, we are excited to return to print on a monthly production schedule for Volume 57. It’s time to put our newsstands back to good use—The Navigator will be back on campus for your reading pleasure by mid September, October, November, January, February, and March. The Nav is excited to work with the community in the form of partnerships and advertisements once again, and we invite you to join us as we solidify and strengthen our physical presence.
